Gordon Adelsberg
Founding Partner
Unlike most investment bankers, Gordon Adelsberg brings perspectives from more than just finance. He has experience in many fields, and communicates in your language as opposed to “banker-speak.”

After a Masters in Food Science (original research in biochemisty) he launched his first business - Masterpiece Ice Cream Company - and sold it in a management buyout. So yes, he has personal experience selling a business. After an MBA in finance from Penn State, he worked a twenty-year career in management consulting. He helped clients in manufacturing, oil & gas, health care, consumer products, food and beverage, and many other industries.

Gordon is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and formerly a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) He led enterprise-wide process improvement efforts in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Operations Management, Safety Leadership, Incident Investigations and Root Cause Failure Analysis. He specialized in operational due diligence for private equity firms, and helped many small to mid-market companies improve their operational efficiency.

He holds a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University, a Master of Science from North Carolina State, and an MBA from Penn State. He holds FINRA licenses SIE, Series 63 and Series 82.
Shureta Povataj
Managing Director
With over 15 years of experience in business development and strategic partnerships, Shureta Povataj brings a consultative approach to every client engagement. Her career spans the Financial Services, Technology, Biotech, Real Estate and Nonprofit sectors, where she has helped organizations identify operational challenges and build scalable, high-impact solutions tailored to their specific needs. Her consultative sales background means she leads with questions before solutions — conducting deep-dive assessments to fully understand each client's business before recommending a path forward.
Shureta has managed enterprise-level accounts for industry leaders including IBM and Cisco, and has driven digital transformation initiatives across Cybersecurity and HR/PEO solutions. Throughout her career, she has consistently exceeded revenue targets and earned recognition through multiple President's Club awards — a reflection of her ability to build lasting client relationships rather than simply close transactions.
She brings a deep commitment to detail, integrity, and proactive problem-solving to her work at Adelsberg Consulting. Having worked across industries and with stakeholders from compliance and HR teams to C-suite executives, Shureta understands what clients truly need — and that insight makes her uniquely positioned to help them identify the right investment banker for their specific situation.
